I was always very close to my grandparents. I chose to visit them once a month (both sides of the family), all of my life. I am very close to my own parents and I enjoy their company and spending time with them and their friends as well.
The idea behind the workshops.
The workshops are designed to encourage potentially lonely and socially isolated older adults out of their home.
The aim is for individuals to make genuine friendships and improve well-being.You will feel connection and inclusion with others similar to you as you explore a retirement that goes beyond just financial planning to include physical and cognitive health, social engagement and purposeful living.
The 4 week course will see older adults cooperating and sharing personal details for bonding. To feel as valued as children are within our society.
Everybody in the group will feel heard and their needs will be explored. Instead of as a one-on-one Counselling session, this is a different way to help you start to feel better. If your mood is very low and you may be depressed, I recommend you try a one-on-one with me before starting the group workshop. My phone number for one-on-one Counselling is the same 022 033 9552.
If the cost is what is stopping you from reaching out, then this a worry because, you need to set aside money for your own well-being.
Everybody is different, at these workshops, you will meet people, and embark on a healing journey together. There is a form to fill out on enrollment. This will help me place likeminded people together.
A level of at least 5.0 English is required, unless you bring a support person.
Culturally Friendly and Affordable.
